I think that this site is great. I have recently bought my first RV8 (1995, Green) which is my second MG. The last was a 76 MGB and it was a complete nightmare in terms of reliability, but it still got me addicted. My only problem so far is that I have lost a wheel badge - does anyone have any idea where I can find a replacement. Interestingly, this is a small Island with a population of about 30,000 people, yet there are 2 RV8's! Both cars are imported from Japan and both are in very good condition.

Jim,
Your homepage is very nice and is currently very supportive in my efforts to find an own RV8 in Japan.
Actually I found one. 2 previous owners, colour exactly same as shown in your galery, 56000 km, car body very nice condition but engine area is not cleaned well. No rust. Interior nice. Tooling sets complete. Price 10 800,-. You think it is reasonable to buy?
The prizes for all RV8 in Japan are inbetween 10 000,- and 14.000,- depending on the condition and milage. How do you expect the prices in Europe will develop for this car?
My wife does not share my passion for it and currently I try hard to convince her with profitability of this deal!!
We would have a chance to take the car back to Germany after my working contract is terminated end of 2005. In the meantime I would have much time to enjoy the beauty of the car together with her....
Chris

I own a 1973 MGB-GT and have had for nearly ten years. It is an excellent automobile and drives very strong. I really enjoy this site. I never realized how similar the MGB and RV8 body styles truly are.

Great site!

Bought a fabulous RV8 this July. Jap import and condition 1.
1996 with 39,000. One potentially annoying problem: Very occasionally, the engine will fail to idle. Never from cold.

Anyone experienced similar problems?

Great to hear from you.
